Youth Justice Board selects Cobent for major e-learning project
Youth Justice Board selects Cobent for major e-learning project
4/20/2006
Cobent has won a major new account for its e-learning content development services. The Youth Justice Board of England and Wales (YJB) has commissioned Cobent to develop e-learning content for its ONSET referral and assessment framework.
LONDON, UK – Cobent has won a major new account for its e-learning content development services. The Youth Justice Board of England and Wales (YJB) has commissioned Cobent to develop e-learning content for its ONSET referral and assessment framework.
YJB oversees the youth justice system in England and Wales. It works to prevent offending and reoffending by children and young people under the age of 18.
Cobent will develop a structured e-learning package that includes Flash- and video-based modules. YJB will use it to help train youth justice practitioners in how to understand and work with young offenders.
Howard Sears, Cobent’s Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to be working with YJB. This type of case study-based training is ideally suited to e-learning and our expertise enables us to create easy-to-use modules tailored specifically to probation officers’ needs and working styles.”
Donna Harrison, Senior Procurement Manager for YJB, said, “We selected Cobent because they understood how to take our existing raw materials and translate them into a dynamic e-learning environment that YJB staff would feel comfortable using”.
