Cobent sells web services division to Oxford New Media
Cobent sells web services division to Oxford New Media
03/08/2006
Cobent Group today announces the sale of its highly successful web services division
Cobent Group today announces the sale of its highly successful web services division, Cobent Interactive, to Oxford New Media. Nick Carpenter, co-founder of Cobent and formerly Cobent’s Director of Web Services will take a leading position on Oxford New Media's board.
“This new structure means we can now concentrate solely on new media design and delivery for our clients,” said Nick Carpenter. “As Cobent Interactive, and now Oxford New Media, we are ideally placed to offer a focused, creative approach to digital media.”
Cobent Interactive works with many blue-chip clients as well as innovative smaller organisations across the UK. Oxford New Media creates high quality websites, CD-Roms and other digital media. It will now also deliver Aon, Cobent’s leading website content management system.
“We see this as a very positive step for both Oxford New Media and Cobent Interactive,” said Howard Sears, Cobent’s CEO. “The sale of our web services division allows Cobent to focus on its core learning and compliance business and gives the team at Cobent Interactive the necessary resource to grow the already successful Aon product.”
