LONDON, UK – Today, Cobent announces a partnership to deliver IPDS (Integrated Personal Development System) to the national Fire Service. By working with LSC Group and technology partner IBM Cobent provide a truly unique combined solution.
Cobent, a leading innovator of solutions for online learning, content and training management - allows organisations to distribute guidance, learning content and support materials, capture knowledge and competence, perform skills gap analysis and obtain greater governance of personnel competences. These features represent the key foundations of a solution to effectively support the IPDS and VLE programme.
Cobent understands that the IPDS solution is central to Human Resources (HR) management and reform in the Fire Service, both locally and nationally and that it forms a key element of the modernisation programme and virtual learning environment strategy.
Howard Sears, Cobent’s managing director, said, “We are excited about providing such a strong proposition of combined hardware, software and services to answer a key organisational requirement for all UK Fire Services. Working with IBM and LSC Group enables a highly scalable and robust implementation of the Cobent LCMS and demonstrates once again that our highly configurable platform can be used to manage compliance training requirements for all industries”.
Cobent are launching the combined proposition at the 7th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the CFOA IS/IT Managers Forum at the Fire Service College – 17- 19th May 2006.
