Cobent launches latest version of its learning and compliance suite

Cobent has launched the second version of its high functionality learning solution, Cobent LCS ( Learning and Compliance Suite)

LONDON, UK – Cobent has launched the second version of its high functionality learning solution, Cobent LCS ( Learning and Compliance Suite). Cobent LCS 2.0 gives users even greater flexibility to create, distribute and track learning content whilst ensuring competency and compliance.

“Feedback from clients on version 1 has always been positive,” said Howard Sears, Cobent’s managing director. “Now, we have added a range of new features which give us a truly unique suite of learning management tools at the price point, giving clients greater control over the way they create, manage and record their learning programmes.”

Cobent LCS 2.0 is fully compliant with SCORM 2004, the learning industry’s standard for interoperability. It also employs the latest technology in a three-tier architecture – .NET 2 and SQL Server 2005 –streamlining it’s performance and providing maximum scalability and flexibility.

An improved Proficiency Module allows users to track external learning requirements and store them on the system, with full evidence recording. So, for example, a supervisor could confirm that a learner had attended a classroom session and demonstrated competence against a number of predefined requirements, bringing them up to an agreed level of proficiency, then record the results online, all with approved e-signature functionality.

Improved content management and authoring tools allow users to import content from legacy formats such as Microsoft® Office PowerPoint and convert them for more efficient web delivery.

Finally, Cobent LCS 2.0 now provides a full range of e-commerce and catalogue management tools. These allow clients to integrate their offline and online learning resources – from books to classroom sessions and certification programmes – into a seamless online offering.
