FSA Training & Competency Sourcebook
Under FSA Guidelines (The FSA Handbook), training and competency must be managed in accordance with the ‘Training and Competence (TC)’ section under ‘Business Standards’. (Ref:
http://fsahandbook.info/FSA/html/handbook/TC
)
There are 2 key areas within this section:
Employee Competency (TC2) AND
Record Keeping (TC3)
Cobent’s
Compliance Training
and
Learning Management Systems (LMS)
help organisations manage training and competency all to FSA guidelines by:
Automating Training and Competency management to ensure compliance
(FSA -TC 2.1.1, TC 2.1.6, TC 2.1.7, TC 2.1.13)
Rules can be assigned to an individual or group (by job role, department, region etc) and used to automatically ensure that an individual is competent and confident to perform their role. Training plans with key requirements such as examinations and certifications can also be set-up to allow individuals to quickly identify the training they need to complete in order to reach their required competency levels. Senior managers and supervisors are alerted to any training gaps and non-completion to reduce the risk of non-compliance.
Automatically notifying and scheduling training to maintain compliance
(FSA -TC 2.1.11, TC 2.1.12)
Scheduling and re-scheduling of training or assessments is automatically set up in the system based on your business rules. Cobent LCS can automatically notify individuals of any training requirements and alert senior managers or supervisors in the instances of non-completion.
Ensuring individuals are qualified and competent enough to perform their duties
(FSA - TC 2.1.4)
Using LCS's powerful workflows and e-signatures functionality, pre-defined rules can be set up to ensure the necessary checks and prerequisite qualification steps are taken before a supervisor or employee can undertake training activity. Supervisors and senior managers can access the system to check if their employees have the necessary qualifications to carry out specific duties.
Centralising all training management and record-keeping in a secure environment.
(FSA -TC3)
All training records within LCS are stored in a central secure environment. Access to these records is provided via pre-defined permission settings. Records for all training types are stored within the system: e-learning, classroom-training, assessments, continuous professional development (CPD), on-the-job/experiential. This provides a complete record of all training for an individual, group, department or organisation.
