Avecia
Avecia develops and manufactures innovative biologics-based medicines targeted at treating serious illnesses such as cancer and heart disease. The company has 600 employees at three sites. Following significant growth Avecia needed to upgrade its method for training and administration to ensure compliance with FDA audits. Avecia is using the 21 CFR Part 11 compliant LCS and its content authoring tool to develop and train staff on all procedural and process requirements, especially those related to SOP’s.

Dentsply

Dentsply is the largest professional dental products company in the world. Cobent's LCS helps the FDA regulated company improve the efficiency and effectiveness of training across 7,000 employees worldwide. They are taking full advantage of LCS’s compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 to convey procedural training linked to change management and document management applications.

GenPharm

Canadian based Genpharm is one of Canada's top 20 pharmaceutical companies. They are using LCS to train 1,000 staff on all procedural based training required, especially linked to SOP’s. LCS’s 21 CFR Part 11 compliance meets regulatory requirements set down by the FDA.

Centric Health Resources

The US based specialist pharmacy is using Cobent LCS to deploy training to internal staff to improve the quality of their service provision. Centric Health Resources also plans to offer patients and partners access to courses through the system at some point in the future. Although not regulated by the FDA the Cobent LCS was chosen owing to rigorous compliance capability with the CFR 21 Part 11 regulations.

Barclays
Barclays Bank servicepoint is the helpdesk for all customer inquiries for the bank. They have a huge task keeping up with changes to procedure, process and regulations and must constantly be updated with the latest information. LCS is used to push training out on a monthly basis to an average of 250 staff. They are using the Software as a Service model ‘Saas’ where payment is made by the company only on the number of active users accessing courses in any given month.

Aviva
Aviva previously known as Norwich Union launched its ‘Workforce Health & Safety’ training portal through the Cobent LCS to help customers improve the standard of health and safety in their workplace. The system provides Aviva with the means to easily sell and deploy online training for any number of health and safety related topics to insurance brokers, insured business customers and other organizations can that benefit from the online training.

The Change Group
The Change Group, a leading global provider of money exchange services has implemented Cobent LCS to automate and centralize all training globally – e-learning, classroom, assessments and practical on-the-job sessions. The system has also been integrated with The Change Group’s HR system to provide seamless employee record-keeping. LCS ensures that all individuals part of The Change Group, from consultants to senior managers, receive consistent, personalized, quality training – regardless of location or time-zone.”

Dixons Store Group International (DSGi)
Dixons Group International owns brands such as Curry’s and PC World and has 1,300 offices in 28 countries. Around half of DSGI’s 40,000 staff currently have access to LCS that covers all aspects of e-learning and classroom administration with a plan to roll-out to all staff during 2008. Staff can access the user environment translated into a number of European languages.

Public Sector/Not for Profit

OCPA
The Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments (OCPA) regulates, monitors and reports on ministerial appointments to the boards of specific public bodies. She is supported in her work by the OCPA. Cobent LCS is used to manage and track the formal assessment and accreditation process of 250 existing Independent Assessors. The learning solution has allowed OCPA to retain the best independent assessors and have a better understanding of their training and development needs.

Business Solutions

Ventura
Ventura is the UK’s largest customer management outsourcing company. 11,000 call-center staff work on outsourced customer management projects. This requires rapid understanding of a customer’s product and proposition. Ventura use the LCS to deploy training to all employees specific to a client’s outsourcing project. Most of the courses have been developed through the Cobent content authoring tool whilst others are made available by clients.
