It's been a little while since our last edition, so we’ve got a number of stories we would like to share with you. Over the past few months, there have been several exciting changes to the company which we will cover in this edition. This year has been about enhancements and growth, and we’ve implemented key strategies to ensure that we continue to improve our products and services to meet our customers’ and partners’ requirements.

Greenlight Solutions, a specialist employee training and consultancy services provider, is enhancing its training services through the use of Cobent Learning Compliance Suite (LCS). Working with small to large enterprises across varying industries, Greenlight boasts a client list which includes Zurich Insurance, Kia Motors and ADEY Solutions. Assisting companies in streamlining employee policies and procedures and improving regulatory compliance; Greenlight's products and services range from consultancy and risk management services, to the provision of practical employer guidance and support, to university accredited training courses. In early 2009, Greenlight Solutions sought to open new business opportunities through the use of a learning management system. The new system would allow them to offer clients a blended learning environment and reach a wider market quickly and cost-effectively. After conducting thorough research into the learning technologies market, Cobent LCS was chosen from other providers for its intuitive user interface, flexibility and ability to meet all training and business requirements out-of-the-box’, resulting in savings in both implementation time and costs.
In mid May 2010, Cobent hosted a compliance training breakfast meeting with guest presenter, Boyd Glover, Head of Retail Training at DSGI. The event was held in London and guests included key compliance and training decision makers from some of the UK’s major corporate brands.
The event provided guests with an overview of DSGI’s training strategies and experience in implementing a compliance training management system. The interactive workshop-style format gave guests the opportunity to ask questions, as well as share ideas and challenges – making it a very successful event.

Cobent is continuing to expand its market reach as demand for its products increase. Cobent has signed agreements with Skillset, a staff development, system and process training company; and ELC a leading e-Learning and training consultancy company based in China.
Skillset has partnered with Cobent to provide its customers with quality, scalable and proven compliance and learning management solutions. Cobent’s solutions will provide SkillSet’s client base with the ability to automate, track, manage and report on training processes in a controlled and compliant manner. Clients will be able to centralise enterprise training, e-learning, classroom-based modules and documentation as well as competency assessments through the system. More on Skillset partnership
ELC, headquartered in Shanghai, will supply Cobent’s learning technology in China. The partnership with ELC combines Cobent’s learning, compliance and training management systems solutions with ELC's local knowledge and consultancy experience within the Chinese e-learning and training market.

In addition to the move, Cobent is pleased to announce that it has further expanded the team. Andy Stewart joins as Cobent’s Chief Technical Officer (CTO); Andy Stewart is responsible for managing Cobent’s technical strategy and working with Production Director, Damian Clayton-Bull, to enhance Cobent’s product offering. Scott Drew has also joined the team as Senior Consultant; Scott is responsible for providing technical expertise during the sales and post sales process. Cobent has also appointed a new Marketing Manager, David Halliwell, who joins the team with 16 years experience. David is responsible for all internal and external marketing initiatives at Cobent.
