Cobent build cutting edge e-learning with CoAuthor

Following on from CoAuthor's launch last December, we are excited to share with youtwo major content development projects currently underway with using our new tool.

The Global Emergency Group (GEG) is a specialist consultancy working in Emergency Response. GEG approached Cobent to build 5 highly interactive, multimedia rich modules to help train Logistics personnel at a world-wide food agency. Content structure has been developed using Cobent Instructional designers with GEG providing the subject matter expertise. The course will be delivered on the world-wide food agency’s Learning Management System - the Cobent Learning Compliance Suite. At the same time, Cobent is also developing e-learning to a similar specification to deliver Health and Safety Training to more than 20,000 retail employees at the Dixons Stores Group (DSGI). The e-learning course will be delivered via ‘The Edge' DSGI's brand for the Cobent Learning Compliance Suite.

Dixons Store Group International shares its ROI achievements in implementing Cobent LCS

Dixons Store Group International (DSGi) one of Europe's leading specialist electrical and computing retailers and the owner of many major retail brands including Curry's, Pixmania and PC World, has shared its recent Cobent LCS ROI achievements in a customer success story.

As part of phase 1, DSGi has already used Cobent Learning Compliance Suite (LCS) to replace its 1-1 telephone assessment system, which was used to assess staff on financial product knowledge as part of FSA compliance requirements. DSGi have already estimated a saving of £500,000 in training and administration costs in replacing the old telephone system with Cobent LCS.

Training has since expanded from financial product training into other commercial areas such as sales, support and product training. This year, DSGi will also launch a new Health & Safety training course across the organisation, which is expected to reduce accidents by 40%.

As a result of Cobent LCS's success within the organisation, DSGi is now working with Cobent to roll out the new training platform to its other brands across Europe. They are also looking to integrate Cobent LCS with other internal systems. The consolidation of DSGi's training processes throughout the entire group will mean further significant cost-savings, increased efficiency, competitive advantage and improved services.

Whitepaper - 4 Reasons to Automate Compliance Training

As a result of our recent customer success stories, Cobent's CTO Tony Dillon has composed a whitepaper exploring the reasons why and how automated compliance training has assisted organisations with increasing operational efficiency and quality, all whilst reducing costs.

The whitepaper highlights the four key reasons why automated training would benefit regulated organisations, providing real-company examples and ROI's. The paper also describes key differences between compliant and non-compliant learning management systems, and the things to consider when implementing an automated training process. This paper is a great for organisations looking to automate their training processes or those looking to optimise their existing system.

Cobent New Client Contracts.

As mentioned we've hit the ground running this year with new client and project wins. For Innervate Training and UFS, Cobent's LCS system will be used to assist customers or members as they work their way through distance learning programmes.

Innervate Training is a specialist fitness industry training provider that delivers high quality and nationally recognised fitness instructor and personal trainer qualifications. They will be using the Cobent system to help manage students that have opted to supplement their attendance at face to face training with online study. Courses include NVQ's and other qualifications for Gym Instructors, Personal Trainers and Aerobics instructors.

UFS is a UK based trade union specialising in the latest employment information and advice. Through a partnership with the University of Gloucester, UFS plans to offer accredited employment law training to its members. Cobent LCS will be used to manage all aspects of the training process including the iterative process of submission and marking of assignments and assessments.
